A unique name has caught the attention of netizens after appearing on the official list of passers for the April 2025 Registered Electrical Engineering Licensure Examination (EELE), released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
Among the 4,137 examinees who passed out of 6,741 total takers—a passing rate of 61.37%—was a certain Andres Andres Andres, earning the nickname “Andres³” from amused social media users. He ranked 254th in the exam.
The moment the list was made public, netizens were quick to spot the unusual repetition of the name and flooded social media with comments. Some joked that his parents must have run out of naming ideas, while others said it looked like he was being pranked by his own birth certificate.
Despite the light-hearted tone, many users expressed genuine amusement and congratulated Andres³ for passing the tough licensure exam, turning what could’ve been an unnoticed success story into a viral moment.
This is not the first time a name has gone viral in the Philippines. In recent years, uniquely coined names inspired by anime characters, places, special events, the pandemic, and even letter combinations made entirely of consonants have trended online.
