“Magkaisa, maging handa, at huwag magpakakampante.”
(“Unite, prepare, and do not be complacent.”)
This was the message of House Speaker Bojie Dy as the country braces for the expected impact of Typhoon Uwan.
The lawmaker called for early preparations and stressed the importance of considering the worst-case scenario to ensure proper readiness and life-saving measures.
He also emphasized the need for cooperation to guarantee everyone’s safety.
Dy urged the public—especially those in low-lying and coastal areas—to listen to authorities and follow safety advisories related to the typhoon.
The Speaker also called for close coordination among national agencies, local government units, and barangay officials across Northern and Central Luzon.
He likewise reminded his fellow lawmakers to reach out to their constituents and local officials in their districts for proper coordination.
In closing, Dy said that the House of Representatives stands united with the entire nation in prayer and preparation.
According to him, Filipinos will face the typhoon together with courage, compassion, and steadfast faith.
