Two men were killed while one person was injured after a dump truck crashed into a house in Barangay Cuevas, Trento town, Agusan del Sur police said.
According to the Trento Municipal Police Station, the victims were identified as truck driver Jayson Salibay and his helper, John Paul Habana. Both died at the scene.
Initial investigation revealed that the truck, loaded with sand, was traveling at high speed when it reportedly experienced brake failure. The vehicle lost control and veered off the road, slamming directly into the house owned by the Asio family.
One member of the Asio family sustained injuries in the incident.
Authorities confirmed that the truck was severely damaged, and the house also suffered significant destruction. The cause of the brake failure is still under investigation, and police are continuing to gather more details surrounding the crash.
