A 26-year-old woman was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds inside her rented apartment in Barangay Madaum, Tagum City, Davao del Norte after a heated argument turned deadly.
The victim was identified as Seanne Gellangarin, an online seller, according to P/Lt. Col. Frederick Deles, Officer-In-Charge of the Tagum City Police. She was discovered lifeless inside her apartment with three gunshot wounds to her body.
Witnesses told investigators they overheard an argument before the shooting, recalling the suspect saying, “Nganong mag-selos man ka nga dili man ta uyab?” (“Why be jealous when we’re not even in a relationship?”)
According to initial findings, the suspect, whose name has not yet been released, reportedly arrived in a car and forced his way into the apartment. A few moments later, residents heard three gunshots.
Police believe a confrontation took place inside before the fatal shooting occurred. Authorities are now examining statements from nearby residents and reviewing other leads to identify and locate the suspect.
As of writing, no arrests have been made. The investigation remains ongoing to determine the motive behind the killing and bring justice to the victim.
