A 45-year-old truck driver died in a workplace accident inside a well-known beer manufacturing plant in Davao City on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident happened at around 4:09 p.m. on October 8, 2025, while the driver was maneuvering his truck inside the facility.
Police said the vehicle was near the unloading bay when it made a left turn. During the maneuver, the cargo container fell on its left side, crushing the driver.
Responding personnel from Central 911 declared the victim dead after finding no pulse or breathing. His remains were later brought to a local funeral home.
Authorities identified the driver as a resident of Tibungco, Davao City, and confirmed he held a valid professional driver’s license.
Investigators are now determining whether mechanical failure or improper loading caused the cargo to fall, resulting in the fatal accident.
