Driver caught with ₱20.4-M worth of shabu in Dipolog City

A driver was apprehended for smuggling millions worth of illegal drugs during a raid in Dipolog City earlier this afternoon.

Authorities from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 9, in collaboration with local police, conducted a joint operation at a well-known hotel in the city just past 1:00 p.m. The suspect, identified only as “Romeo,” a resident of Sta. Catalina, Zamboanga City, was arrested during the operation.

Confiscated from the suspect were three kilograms of shabu with an estimated street value of ₱20.4 million.

PDEA officials commended the swift and coordinated action, emphasizing the importance of intelligence-driven efforts in dismantling drug distribution networks.

Charges are being prepared against the suspect for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
