The government has enough funds to support disaster response operations and ensure immediate assistance and rehabilitation for communities affected by recent earthquakes and typhoons.
Finance Secretary Ralph Recto stressed the importance of maintaining available government resources to respond to emergencies at any given time.
As the country’s national fundraiser, the Department of Finance ensures that the Philippines has sufficient budget to immediately address the needs of Filipinos during calamities.
As of November 9, 2025, the national government has already released ₱17.85 billion out of the ₱21 billion National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund (NDRRMF).
Meanwhile, as of November 10, the government has also released ₱13.96 billion under the Quick Response Fund (QRF).
The Department of Agriculture is also set to receive ₱1 billion to strengthen its recovery efforts, while the Department of Social Welfare and Development and the Philippine Coast Guard will receive over ₱631 million and over ₱53 million, respectively.
