DepEd completes nationwide orientation on reforms for SY 2026–2027

The Department of Education (DepEd) has completed its series of nationwide orientations on the “Learning Systems Reform Policies” for school year 2026–2027.

According to Education Secretary Sonny Angara, teachers and school leaders are aware that they need to prepare for several upcoming changes. He emphasized that this is the reason why educators and school officials must be properly informed and prepared before the rollout of the reforms.

“Alam nating maraming pagbabago ang kailangang paghandaan ng ating mga guro at school leaders. Kaya mahalagang sapat ang kanilang kaalaman at kumpiyansa sa pagsisimula ng implementasyon (We know that our teachers and school leaders need to prepare for many changes. That is why it is important for them to have enough knowledge and confidence as implementation begins),” Angara said.

DepEd said it will continue conducting monitoring, feedback mechanisms, and technical assistance throughout the transition period.

“Patuloy tayong magbibigay ng malinaw na gabay, sasagot sa mga tanong mula sa field, at makikinig sa feedback para masigurong ang mga reporma ay tunay na makatutulong sa pagtuturo at pagkatuto (We will continue providing clear guidance, answering questions from the field, and listening to feedback to ensure that these reforms will truly help improve teaching and learning),” Angara added.
