Death Toll from Recent Typhoons Rises to 27

The number of fatalities from Typhoons Mirasol, Nando, Opong, and the southwest monsoon has climbed to 27.

According to the latest report from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), 23 of the reported deaths are still under verification, while four have been confirmed.

Meanwhile, the number of injured individuals remains at 33, while the number of missing has increased to 16.

In total, 906,794 families—or more than 3.4 million individuals—have been affected by the series of weather disturbances.

Over 30,000 families, or more than 100,000 people, are currently staying in 1,600 evacuation centers, while more than 22,000 families are seeking shelter outside designated evacuation sites.
