A construction worker was rushed to a hospital after falling from the second floor of a building along Quirino Avenue and Mabini Street in Malate, Manila, this afternoon, September 12.
According to the victim’s co-workers, he was attempting to cross a concrete beam to reach another section of the building when he suddenly felt dizzy, lost his balance, and fell to the ground.
Responding personnel from the Manila City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department, along with the victim’s co-workers, immediately came to his aid.
The worker sustained abrasions on his face and neck and complained of pain in his hip following the fall.
Authorities also noted that he was not wearing a safety harness at the time of the incident.
After receiving first aid at the scene, the victim was transported to a nearby hospital for further medical evaluation and treatment.
