Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go led the list of potential vice presidential candidates for the 2028 national elections, garnering 31% of voter preference in the latest Pulse Asia survey conducted Sept. 17-24, 2026.
The survey results showed Go receiving his highest preference rating in Mindanao, where he recorded 55%. He also received 37% in the Visayas, 37% among Class ABC respondents and 31% among Class D respondents.
Sen. Robin Padilla ranked second with 19%, followed by Sen. Bam Aquino with 17% and former Sen. Grace Poe with 14%.
Sen. Erwin Tulfo received 10%, while Sen. Kiko Pangilinan garnered 3%. Metropolitan Manila Development Authority General Manager Nicolas Torre III placed last among the listed potential candidates, with 0.3%.
The survey also found that 2% of respondents had not yet decided whom to support, while another 2% said they would not support any candidate. One percent declined to answer.
Pulse Asia conducted the survey through face-to-face interviews with 2,400 Filipino adults nationwide.
The results provide a snapshot of respondents’ preferences for the vice presidency ahead of the 2028 elections. The figures reflect preferences during the survey period and do not represent actual election results.
Meanwhile, Vice President Sara Duterte continued to lead the separate presidential preference survey, receiving 50% of respondents’ support, according to the same survey results.
The findings place Go at the top of the listed potential vice presidential contenders, followed by Padilla and Aquino.
The survey results come more than a year before the 2028 national elections. The figures measure stated preferences among respondents at the time of the interviews and may change as the election approaches.
