The Commission on Elections (Comelec) will reopen nationwide voters’ registration on October 20, launching a seven-month drive to enlist new voters.
Comelec Chairperson George Garcia said the registration will run until May 18, 2026, covering all regions except the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
Garcia said the poll body aims to register at least one million voters during the period, expressing confidence that the number could reach 1.4 million.
Comelec previously conducted a nationwide registration from August 1 to 10, which recorded 2,727,643 applicants, according to official data.
Meanwhile, Garcia said that BARMM will conduct a separate registration from May 1 to 18, 2026, in line with its distinct electoral timetable.*
