Classes at San Jose National High School in Tacloban City were suspended on Monday, July 14.
In its announcement, the school did not specify the reason for the suspension but said the decision was made to ensure the safety of everyone.
Following the announcement, several parents suggested that modular learning be implemented temporarily if students could not safely attend classes on campus.
Many parents also expressed concern, as only a few weeks have passed since the tragic shooting incident at the school.
On June 22, gunfire erupted inside San Jose National High School after two students allegedly opened fire.
The incident left several people injured and claimed the lives of three students.
