A robbery in Barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City, left a businessman reeling after losing ₱2.5 million in cash, jewelry, and personal items in a shocking attack caught on CCTV.
The victim, Remark Broa, had just arrived at his rented apartment when the incident occurred. After stepping out of his vehicle to open the gate, three men on motorcycles approached and forced him back into his car.
The robbers restrained Broa by taping his mouth and hands before stealing a brown paper bag containing ₱2.5 million, jewelry, various IDs, and bank cards.
Broa explained he was carrying the large amount of cash as the banks were closed, and it was part of his routine to bring money for trips to Hong Kong, where he buys cellphones for his business.
CCTV footage showed the suspects quickly fleeing the scene after the robbery. Authorities are reviewing the video as part of their investigation.
Broa admitted he never expected to experience such a crime and has since reported the incident to the police.
