The spirit of bayanihan continues to shine as Brigada listeners, 1Tahanan Party-list, and ANAKK–1Tahanan volunteers from Cebu and various Mindanao Brigada stations begin the repacking of relief goods for families affected by Bagyong Tino.

This heartwarming effort marks the start of Brigada’s on-the-ground mission, strengthened by the ₱500,000 initial assistance from the Brigada Group, under the leadership of Chairman and CEO Elmer V. Catulpos, who, moved by the plight of affected families, reaffirmed Brigada’s commitment to be there for those in need.
“Brigada was built on the foundation of helping others,” said Chairman-CEO Elmer V. Catulpos. “Wherever there’s a Filipino in need, Brigada will be there—because we are, and will always be, In the Heart of Changing Lives.”
But what makes this effort even more moving are the stories of ordinary Brigada listeners who refused to stand idly by. In Mindanao, small coins dropped personally to different Brigada stations and online transfers worth as little as ₱20 or ₱50 have poured in—each one carrying a big heart.
One listener in Davao City shared, “Wala man ko’y dako nga kwarta, pero gusto ko makatabang. Ang Brigada ra gyud ang akong saligan nga muabot sa mga naa sa kalisod.” (I may not have much, but I want to help. Brigada is the one I trust to reach those in need.)
Because of this united effort, volunteers and Brigada stations in Mindanao, led by Davao, have also begun repacking thousands of relief packs, which they will personally deliver to Cebu this Saturday—a remarkable show of solidarity between two regions bound by compassion.
Chairman Elmer V. Catulpos expressed his gratitude to everyone who continues to give their time, effort, and resources to the cause.
“Each helping hand, no matter how small, becomes part of something bigger—something that changes lives. This is the true heart of Brigada,” Catulpos said.
More than just assistance, this act of kindness is a message of solidarity—that even after the strongest storm, there are people ready to lend a hand, stand beside you, and remind you that you are not alone.
