Bomb threat reported at Davao City High School

A bomb threat disrupted classes at Mintal Comprehensive National Senior High School in Davao City on Wednesday afternoon, October 22, 2025, prompting the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) to immediately evacuate students and staff.

Police said a Facebook account named “Kozo Wagner” claimed to have planted a bomb on the school campus. The post circulated online, causing alarm among students, teachers, and parents.

Authorities swiftly responded to the report, escorting students and faculty members to the nearby Regional Training Center 11 (RTC11) for safety. Bomb disposal teams and investigators cordoned off the area while conducting a thorough search of the school grounds.

This incident occurred only a few hours after a similar bomb threat was reported at another school along F. Torres Street in Davao City, raising concerns about a possible series of coordinated hoaxes.

Authorities reminded the public to remain calm and report suspicious activities immediately, assuring that all threats will be treated seriously until proven false.

The Davao City Police Office continues to monitor schools and public areas as the investigation into the twin bomb threats remains ongoing.
