The Bureau of Customs (BOC) announced that the four remaining vehicles linked to contractor couple Curlee and Sara Discaya have already been sold.
In a statement, the BOC said it expects to generate more than P12 million from the sale of the vehicles.
The units sold include:
- a 2022 GMC XL Yukon Denali sold for P3.209 million,
- a 2021 Cadillac Escalade sold for P3.750 million,
- a 2022 Maserati Levante Modena sold for P2.008 million, and
- a 2022 GMC Yukon Denali sold for P3.309 million.
Including the 2009 Volvo XC90 valued at P70,000, the agency expects the total proceeds from the sale of forfeited, abandoned, and seized items to reach P12.346 million.
Meanwhile, the office has already generated a total of P114,744,884.15 from the auction and negotiated sale of all 13 vehicles linked to the Discaya couple.
The proceeds will be remitted to the Bureau of the Treasury.
According to Customs Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno, the disposal of all the vehicles reflects the BOC’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and decisive action regarding forfeited assets.
He added that the move also demonstrates ongoing efforts to ensure that government resources are utilized in ways that benefit the Filipino people.
