Aminado ang Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) na kulang ng libo-libong bombero sa Pilipinas.
Sa isinagawang deliberasyon sa proposed P262 billion budget para sa 2024 ng Department of Interior and Local Government.
Isiniwalat ito ni BFP chief Director Louie Puracan matapos tanungin ni House Deputy Majority Leader Wilter Palma tungkol sa mga bakanteng posisyon sa ahensya.
Ayon kay Puracan, nangangailangan sila ng mahigit 19k na firefighters sa buong bansa.
