An anti-corruption chant echoed through the venue during the final FlipTop rap battle of 2025, as audience members joined a call led by FlipTop founder Alaric Yuson, widely known as Anygma.
Before the rap battle between Tipsy D and Mhot officially began, Anygma addressed the crowd and urged them to channel their energy into a collective call against corruption.
“I think it’s time we also do our part while your energy is here. Jail the corrupt,” Anygma said, prompting the audience to chant “Ikulong na yan mga kurakot.”
The chant lasted for about 15 seconds and was repeated loudly by the crowd, becoming one of the most notable moments of the event. No specific individual was named during the chant.
As the battle progressed, references to corruption in the Philippines were also heard in the lyrics delivered on stage. During one of his rounds, Mhot mentioned issues related to corruption and used the names of several public officials as part of his verses.

The event marked the final FlipTop rap battle of the year and drew strong audience participation throughout the performances.
FlipTop, founded by Anygma, is widely known as the country’s premier battle rap league and has long been a platform where social issues are sometimes reflected through lyrical content.
The organizers did not issue further statements regarding the chant, which remained a spontaneous crowd response during the opening of the battle.
