The Sangguniang Bayan of Kalayaan, Palawan has strongly condemned the actions of People’s Republic of China Ambassador Jing Quan.
At the same time, a resolution was issued declaring him persona non grata within the municipal jurisdiction of the area.
This was reportedly due to violations of diplomatic protocol and non-compliance with Philippine officials.
Previously, Ambassador Jing Quan and the Chinese Embassy were alleged to have openly interfered in the affairs of the Philippine government amid the West Philippine Sea issue and statements involving Philippine Coast Guard spokesperson for the West Philippine Sea, Commodore Jay Tarriela.
In closing, the local council said it stands firm as the lone Philippine municipality located in the West Philippine Sea, serving as a frontline of national sovereignty and home to brave Filipinos.
