Alice Guo placed under five-day CIW quarantine before transfer to maximum security

Dismissed Bamban mayor Alice Guo is now under mandatory quarantine at the Correctional Institution for Women in Mandaluyong City after authorities moved her from the Pasig City Jail female dormitory. She was transferred along with co-accused Rachel Joan Carreon and Jamielyn Cruz, officials confirmed.

Upon arrival, Guo was issued the prison number C225P-531. She and her co-accused will complete a five-day quarantine period and undergo medical examinations as part of CIW’s intake procedure. The process is required before any detainee is brought into the general population.

After the quarantine, Guo will be held at the facility’s Reception and Diagnostic Center. She is expected to be placed in the maximum security area after the assessment phase, following standard protocols. Authorities have not released additional information on the schedule beyond the mandatory five days.

The transfer to CIW took place Monday night. No other details were provided regarding the circumstances behind the move or the charges linked to her detention. The shift marks a change in her custody status since being held in Pasig.

CIW serves as the main detention and corrections facility for women involved in major cases. Quarantine and medical tests are required steps for inmates entering the institution to ensure health clearance and assignment to the proper security level.

For now, Guo, Carreon, and Cruz remain under observation during the quarantine stage. The planned move to maximum security will depend on their clearance after medical evaluation and RDC procedures. Authorities have yet to issue further statements on the next development.
