Station Profile
The 2-time, back-to-back Over-All No. 1 Radio Station based on the 2016 Nielsen Philippines’ Radio Audience Measurement Study, DXYM 89.5 Brigada News FM GenSan is the harbinger of what is now a wide grid of Brigada News FM stations spread across the Philippines.
Then an emerging tri-media company, Brigada acquired on October 18, 2009, a mothballed FM radio station in General Santos City and reformatted it to broadcast a mix of news and public affairs with the usual fare of FM music. The interesting result – public affairs program in stereo sound, which drew a wide listenership and allowed DXYM 89.5 Brigada News FM GenSan to have a commanding lead over its competitors.
Based on the latest Nielsen survey, 89.5 Brigada News FM GenSan garnered an overwhelming 2.15% audience share.
The station has since evolved and was fitted with state-of-the-art 10-kilowatt FM radio transmitter. It is located at Brigada Complex, NLSA Road, PurokBayanihan, San Isidro, General Santos City.
