BLACKPINK member Lisa has offered a more personal look into her life as a K-pop idol, opening up about the challenges she faced in relationships and expressing her true feelings.
In her upcoming solo documentary, Always Lalisa, Lisa looks back on her years as a trainee and the sacrifices she made while pursuing a career as a K-pop star.
Lisa said she had to be careful with her relationships when she was younger because she did not want her personal life to affect BLACKPINK.
She also admitted that she struggled for years to express her true feelings, having been accustomed to keeping them to herself since she was 14.
Some of her personal experiences also inspired her 2025 album Alter Ego, including the song “Dream,” which she wrote based on a past relationship.
The documentary will also feature Lisa’s life outside BLACKPINK, including her solo music, acting career, and other projects.
Ticket sales for Always Lalisa will begin on September 9, ahead of its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 11.
The documentary is set to hit cinemas and IMAX theaters worldwide beginning October 12.
