DSWD provides financial aid to students injured in Tacloban school shooting

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) continues to extend assistance to those affected by the shooting incident at a high school in Tacloban City.

According to the DSWD, it has already provided ₱100,000 in financial assistance for nine injured students who are currently receiving treatment in various hospitals across the city.

The agency added that four more students are expected to receive appropriate interventions in the coming days.

Aside from financial aid, the DSWD also assured the provision of burial assistance to the families of the students who lost their lives in the tragedy.

Meanwhile, the department continues to provide psychological first aid and psychosocial support to other victims as part of its efforts to help them cope with the traumatic incident.

The DSWD reaffirmed its commitment to assisting affected individuals and families as they recover from the tragedy.
