The number of individuals affected by the magnitude 7.8 earthquake in Mindanao has continued to rise.
According to the latest data released by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) over the weekend, the total number of affected individuals has reached 1,599,350, equivalent to 375,664 families.
The affected population comes from nearly 600 barangays across the Davao Region and SOCCSKSARGEN.
Of the total number, more than 22,000 individuals remain in evacuation centers, while over 63,000 others are staying outside evacuation facilities.
Meanwhile, the death toll has risen to 77, based on NDRRMC data, following the addition of newly confirmed fatalities last Friday.
Authorities also reported that more than 1,300 people were injured in the earthquake, while 31 individuals remain missing.
