DPWH urges public to help identify incomplete, substandard projects

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has called on the public, especially netizens, to help identify unfinished and substandard infrastructure projects across the country.

The appeal comes amid public concerns over the slow response of some local officials in addressing road repairs and infrastructure issues.

According to DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon, the initiative covers areas that require immediate attention, including damaged roads and infrastructure projects that significantly affect the daily lives of residents.

Dizon said it is impossible for the department to monitor every project on its own, making public participation crucial in identifying problem areas.

The public may report concerns by tagging the DPWH or sending messages through the agency’s official social media accounts.

The secretary assured citizens that complaints and information provided by the public will be acted upon promptly, emphasizing the department’s commitment to addressing infrastructure concerns efficiently.
