DOT Assures Safety of Tourists Following Flight Cancellations

The Department of Tourism (DOT) has advised all domestic and international tourists currently in the country—or planning to travel to and from the Philippines—to take precautionary measures following disruptions in flight operations.

The advisory comes after an Airbus technical notice that affected several airline operations.

According to the DOT, it is already coordinating with concerned government agencies, airport authorities, and tourism stakeholders to ensure the safety, comfort, and overall welfare of travelers.

The department also urged foreign tourists to regularly check the official websites, mobile apps, and customer service channels of their airlines for updates on flight status, rebooking procedures, and rerouting options.
