Education Secretary Sonny Angara appears to have no plans of stepping down from his post.
This comes after he was linked to alleged kickbacks from fund insertions during his time as chair of the Senate Committee on Finance.
According to Angara, the claims against him in the fund controversy are baseless and not supported by evidence. He said the accusations are merely “hearsay.”
He added that there are no specific allegations or references to any particular transaction.
In an ambush interview, the secretary emphasized that he sees no reason to resign.
