Marcos ‘satisfied’ with Senate poll results

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. expressed satisfaction over the outcome of the recently concluded elections, particularly in the senatorial race, according to a Palace official.

Palace Press Officer Claire Castro stated that the President was pleased with the results and noted that the winning candidates displayed integrity and strength of character.

She added that most of the winning candidates have shown genuine concern for the welfare of the people and a desire to serve the country.

Out of the 12 senators leading in the partial results, six belong to the administration party, indicating continued support for the current government.

Castro also emphasized that the President believes the public still strongly supports his administration, as reflected in the outcome of the elections.

The Palace has not yet released any official statement about potential collaborations or legislative priorities with the newly elected senators. However, the President’s reaction suggests optimism for smoother relations between the executive and legislative branches moving forward.

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has yet to finalize and proclaim the official list of winners, but preliminary results continue to indicate significant support for administration-aligned candidates.

The national canvassing of votes is still ongoing.
