Missing 24-year-old woman found dead in Negros Occidental

The decomposing body of a 24-year-old woman who had been missing for three days was discovered Wednesday afternoon, April 30, behind a motor pool in Barangay Poblacion 1, Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental — authorities confirmed.

The victim was later identified as Thalia, a resident of Pulang Araw in Barangay 2, Hinoba-an. Her relatives reported her missing days earlier, raising concern over her unexplained disappearance.

Police believe that Thalia’s body was not killed at the scene but was likely dumped behind the facility. The body was already in a state of decomposition when found.

Officers from the Hinoba-an Municipal Police Station are currently investigating the case, focusing on identifying individuals who were last seen with the victim.

An autopsy has been requested to determine the cause of death and whether foul play was involved.
