A police officer known for his vlogs has been disarmed and placed under restrictive custody after being accused of rape.
According to PNP Spokesperson BGen. Jean Fajardo, PSMS Teejay Virtucio was placed under restrictive custody on January 10 at the Police Regional Office 4A.
Aside from facing administrative proceedings, Virtucio will also be charged criminally. Authorities are still searching for another suspect who remains at large.
The victim, a cockfighting teller in Batangas, remains hospitalized due to trauma from the incident, which occurred in December.
Fajardo confirmed that a medico-legal examination showed signs of penetration and trauma. The PNP is also awaiting toxicology test results to determine whether the victim was drugged.
