18 street vendors selling soap along Cebu roads brought to police station

Eighteen street vendors were apprehended and brought to a police station in Cebu City following complaints from motorists who alleged that they were aggressively selling products along major roads and intersections.

The operation was conducted on May 30 by the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) under the leadership of Police Col. George V. Ylanan.

Authorities said the action was carried out after receiving reports from members of the public regarding vendors selling items, including laundry soap, along busy roadways in the city.

According to police, monitoring and enforcement efforts were intensified in line with directives from Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival. The mayor also personally spoke with the vendors during the operation.
