16-year-old boy stabbed to death while watching boxing in Negros Oriental

A 16-year-old boy was killed in a stabbing incident in Sitio Bunga, Barangay Tabuan, Bayawan City, Negros Oriental in the early hours of Saturday, May 17.

According to the Bayawan City Police Station, the victim and several others were watching a boxing match and drinking alcohol when the incident occurred.

Initial reports revealed that the teenager suddenly ran for help and collapsed. His uncle discovered he had a stab wound to the chest.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared dead later.

The suspect, a 28-year-old man who also lives in the same area, immediately fled after the incident.

Authorities have yet to confirm the motive behind the stabbing, and a manhunt operation is ongoing.

Police are continuing their investigation to determine the cause of the violence and locate the suspect.
