A female employee of a firearms shop in General Santos City was arrested after allegedly lacing her employer’s tea with cockroach killer powder.
Authorities say the suspect was caught red-handed by a parking attendant while preparing the tea. The parking boy noticed her adding the poisonous substance and immediately informed the employer, preventing a potentially fatal incident.
The employer expressed deep gratitude to the parking attendant for his vigilance, stating, “If not for his quick action, I could have died from this treachery.”
Police have detained the suspect, who remains under investigation for attempted poisoning charges. Authorities are also exploring possible motives behind the alleged act, with initial inquiries suggesting workplace disputes may have been a factor.
