Woman dies, two injured in Lucena City house fire

A woman died and two others were injured after a house fire broke out in Alpsville 3 Subdivision, Barangay Ibabang Dupay, Lucena City.

According to Fire Officer 01 Quelvin Paul Beatriz of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Lucena, the fire was reported to their office at around 10:12 a.m. and was declared under control by 10:48 a.m.

Details regarding the identity of the deceased and the condition of the injured have yet to be released. Authorities have also not confirmed the origin of the fire or the estimated cost of damage.

In an interview with Brigada News FM Lucena, FO1 Beatriz reminded the public to remain vigilant in the event of a fire. He emphasized the importance of immediately reporting any fire-related incidents to emergency responders and avoiding the burning of miscellaneous items that could trigger flames.

As investigations are ongoing, the BFP has yet to determine whether foul play or negligence contributed to the blaze. Residents in the area were advised to cooperate with authorities and follow fire safety protocols to prevent similar tragedies.
