A lawyer for Vice President Sara Duterte, Atty. Michael Poa, said they were not surprised by the outcome of the impeachment proceedings at the House Committee on Justice.
The committee earlier found probable cause in the impeachment complaints filed against the vice president.
According to Poa, based on how the hearings unfolded, they were not shocked by the result.
He also assured that their camp will participate in the upcoming Senate proceedings on the impeachment case.
Poa emphasized that the Senate phase is a trial, and the defense team of the vice president is expected to attend.
