VP Sara reaffirms office’s goals as OVP marks 90th anniversary

The Office of the Vice President (OVP) is celebrating its 90th year of service to the Filipino people.

In her video message, Vice President Sara Duterte said that every vice president has proven that true power is achieved through public service.

She noted that each vice president has navigated unique eras and challenges—from post-war recovery to crises and revolutions—and through personal dedication, has expanded the office’s capacity to serve.

As a tribute to their contributions, VP Duterte invited the public to visit the OVP Pop-Up Exhibits in major cities across the country, which showcase stories, documents, and artifacts highlighting the invaluable service of past vice presidents.

Duterte also mentioned three critical goals of her office: the establishment of an OVP museum, a permanent OVP office, and an OVP Charter.

According to her, these initiatives represent a firm commitment to strengthening democratic institutions.
