Grief overwhelmed the families and friends of two young men found dead early Monday morning, May 6, in Purok 3, Barangay Buclad, Asuncion, Davao del Norte.
The victims were identified as Niel Lasacaug and James Diansay Magapang, both students and residents of Kapalong, who had been missing for three days before their bodies were discovered.
According to local authorities, a foul smell in the area alerted passing motorists and nearby residents, prompting them to investigate. The search led them to the decomposing bodies of the two teens, along with the motorcycle they were last seen using.
The Asuncion Municipal Police Station is conducting an in-depth investigation to determine the cause of death and whether foul play was involved.
