Tricycle drivers yet to receive cash aid to get assistance next week

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) assured that tricycle drivers in Metro Manila who have not yet received cash assistance this week will be included in a special payout next week.

The assistance aims to help drivers cope with the continued rise in fuel prices.

In an interview, DSWD spokesperson Irene Dumlao said the agency will begin distributing aid to more drivers in the coming week.

According to Dumlao, more than 120,000 tricycle drivers in the National Capital Region are listed to receive financial assistance.

Of this number, over 90,000 drivers have already received aid in the past three days.
