Torre says Rizal Coliseum ready for charity fight vs Baste Duterte

Philippine National Police Chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III revealed that preparations are underway at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum for a possible charity boxing match between him and Davao City Mayor Baste Duterte.

According to Torre, the bout is scheduled for Sunday, July 27, although there is still no official confirmation from Duterte’s camp regarding his participation.

Earlier this morning, Torre invited members of the media to cover his boxing training session. Meanwhile, videos circulating on social media show Mayor Baste also engaging in boxing practice, but it remains unclear when those clips were taken.

The planned charity match reportedly stemmed from a light exchange during a press interview, where Torre was asked if he would accept a boxing challenge from the mayor. Torre immediately agreed.
