A 19-year-old woman was killed after being stabbed by her former live-in partner in Sitio Sunflower, Barangay Tisa, Cebu City around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 15.
The victim, identified as Lorie Faith, died after sustaining a stab wound near her collarbone. Her ex-partner, Mike, 22, fled the scene and remains at large.
According to a neighbor, alias Rosa, the two were heard arguing moments before the attack. Rosa said she noticed a change in Lorie Faith’s voice and decided to check on them.
When she arrived, she found the victim wounded. Help was called immediately, but the victim was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.
Initial police investigation revealed that the suspect was enraged after the victim allegedly refused to reconcile with him.
Authorities also confirmed that the two had two children together, and the suspect is reportedly a user of illegal drugs.
A police manhunt is ongoing.
