An 18 year old woman was found dead in a grassy area in Zone 6, Barangay Panicuason in Naga City. Police said the victim had no upper clothing when her body was discovered. The case has prompted concern in the community as investigators work to determine what happened to her.
According to the initial police report, the victim left home and told her family she would be doing research. She did not return, and her body was later found in a secluded part of the barangay. Authorities have not released her identity as they continue coordinating with the family.
Police Captain Daisy Angeles, spokesperson of the Naga City Police Office, said investigators have already identified persons of interest. She clarified that these individuals are not considered suspects at this stage, but are being examined for any possible connection to the crime.
Angeles explained that persons of interest are people who may have interacted with the victim or were in the area before the incident. She said investigators are still gathering statements and reviewing timelines to establish the motive and identify those responsible.
Angeles urged the public to remain vigilant as the investigation continues. She reminded residents to avoid traveling alone when possible and to stay alert in isolated areas. She noted that safety awareness remains important as authorities work to piece together the events leading to the teenager’s death.
