Several Groups Defend GSIS Chief Veloso Amid Allegations of Fund Losses

Three organizations have expressed support for the leadership of Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) President and General Manager Arnulfo “Wick” Veloso amid allegations of fund losses in the agency.

In a statement, the Philippine Government Employees Association (PGEA) said it sees no indication of the alleged “losses,” noting that GSIS remains financially sound and continues to generate income.

The Philippine Alliance of Retired Educators (PARE) and the GSIS Retirees Association Inc. (GRAI) also expressed confidence in Veloso’s leadership.

Former Department of Education Undersecretary and PARE head Jesus Mateo said their group stands with Veloso, emphasizing that the agency is “strong” and “stable.” They also vowed to help spread accurate information about GSIS programs and its financial standing.
