House of Representatives Secretary General Reginald Velasco announced that he is set to transmit the three impeachment complaints against Vice President Sara Duterte to the House Speaker’s Office this week.
In an ambush interview with the media, Velasco confirmed that the complaints are still in his office but he said these are to be forwarded to Speaker Martin Romualdez any time this week.
“It is still with me but we have to act on it this week,” Velasco said
There are three impeachment complaints filed against Dutertee and reportedly a fourth one was coming but Velasco said he has not received it yet.
“ Meron talagang nagbabalak pero up to now wala pa kaya so we will have to act on it,” Velasco said referring to the three complaints.
Velasco revealed that the supposed filers of the fourth impeachment want it done swiftly so that it can be transmitted directly to the senate but until now he has not receive it.
Despite the limited time left for the House to act on it Velasco said it is still possible that a fourth impeachment is filed and transmitted immediately to the senate.
The three impeachment complaints against the vice president were filed in connection to the alleged misuse of confidential funds in the Office of the Vice President (OVP) and the Department of Education (Dep-ed)
