Roseanne Barr crushed by falling tree branch in tractor mishap — prays, lifts 100 pounds to save herself

Comedian and TV icon Roseanne Barr survived a shocking tractor accident at her 30-acre ranch in Texas after a massive tree branch crashed onto her head, trapping her inside her tractor.

In a dramatic tale first shared with GLOBE Magazine, the 72-year-old revealed she was mowing her property when the accident occurred. Known for her blunt honesty and dark humor, Barr described the terrifying ordeal with typical grit and wit.

She admitted the incident happened because she hasn’t cleared the trees around her ranch as thoroughly as she should. While mowing, she struck a tree, causing a branch to fall directly onto her head. The branch, weighing an estimated 100 pounds, pinned her inside the tractor.

Barr said the heavy limb pinned her down and forced her to act quickly. With no one around to help, she spent nearly an hour inching the branch off her body. In her words, she turned to prayer to summon the strength to survive the moment.

She explained that she asked God to help her harness what she called her “strong Russian energy,” and with that motivation, she flipped the branch off her body. She added that she was proud of herself for getting out safely and noted she hasn’t let the frightening experience stop her from riding her tractor again.

Despite suffering “several injuries recently” while operating her equipment, Barr said her life in Texas is still a dream come true.

Why she’s staying in Texas — and not moving to Florida

Earlier this year, Barr’s son Jake Pentland shared that his mom had considered moving to Florida. However, the comedy legend revealed she’s sticking with Texas for now — and for a very specific reason.

Barr admitted she loves the Sunshine State but finds the weather unbearable. She said that even Texas heat is more manageable compared to Florida’s stifling climate. Her main complaint? Not being able to enjoy a cigarette outdoors in the summer.

She joked that in Florida, the heat was so intense that even smoking a cigarette was impossible — something she simply couldn’t tolerate.

Still standing strong at 72

The former Roseanne star, mother of five, continues to live a rugged and independent life. Known for speaking her mind and taking on life her own way, Barr remains unshaken by accidents or setbacks. Her recent tractor mishap is just another example of her tough, no-nonsense spirit.

While some fans may be concerned, Roseanne made it clear she has no intention of slowing down — even if that means crashing into the occasional tree.
