Reward offered, manhunt ordered in killing of Isabela beauty queen

A reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest of suspects in the killing of a former beauty pageant runner-up in Isabela, as police launched a full-scale manhunt.

San Manuel Mayor Faustino “Dondon” Dy IV offered P50,000 from his personal funds to anyone who can provide information that could help authorities identify and capture those responsible for the killing of Lullete Jane Ramilo-de Guzman, a runner-up in the Miss Philippines-Earth 2013 pageant.

According to reports, Ramilo-de Guzman was shot outside her home in Cabaritan Village. The shooting happened in front of her three children.

Police have formed a special investigation task force composed of provincial and municipal investigation and intelligence teams. The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group and other allied units are also assisting in the probe.

Philippine National Police chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. has ordered a full-scale manhunt against those behind the shooting and killing of Ramilo-de Guzman in Isabela.

The PNP chief also ordered a manhunt in connection with the killing of Oriental Mindoro Electric Cooperative director Antonio Mendeja.

Authorities said investigations are ongoing as they work to identify the suspects and determine the motive behind the attacks.

Local officials urged the public to cooperate with law enforcement by providing any information that could help solve the case and bring the perpetrators to justice.
