The remains of overseas Filipino worker Mary Jill Muya from Abu Dhabi have returned to the Philippines.
She was the Filipina who was found lifeless inside her room on December 31, 2025.
The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) assured the public that they continue to closely coordinate with Mary Jill’s family.
The agencies also said they are ensuring the provision of the necessary assistance to the family.
Earlier, the OFW’s family stated that they suspect possible foul play in her death.
They said Mary Jill had never mentioned any problems at work and had been in regular communication with them throughout nearly two years of working abroad.
