The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) assured its full support for participants of the Rally for Transparency and a Better Democracy organized by Iglesia ni Cristo.
Even before the three-day protest began, the PRC placed its ambulances in the National Capital Region on high alert and set up first aid stations and welfare desks to ensure the safety of rally-goers.
At the Quirino Grandstand alone, PRC teams attended to 138 individuals, most of whom experienced dizziness, stomach pain, and other minor ailments.
PRC Chairman and CEO Richard Gordon recognized the commitment of the responders deployed at the protest site.
He emphasized that the organization will continue providing assistance to anyone in need.
