The Philippines has ranked first among more than 190 countries as the most frequently hit by typhoons and natural disasters.
According to the 2025 WorldRiskIndex Report, the Philippines has been named the world’s most disaster-prone country for 2025, amid the continued onslaught of storms.
The country recorded a “very high” risk score of 46.56.
Trailing behind are India with 40.73, Indonesia with 39.80, Colombia with 39.26, and Mexico with 38.96.
These scores are based on each country’s exposure to extreme weather events, massive flooding, earthquakes, and their overall vulnerability to such hazards.
