The Philippine Navy conducted a unilateral exercise yesterday in the West Philippine Sea, focusing on the area near Bajo de Masinloc.
The multi-mission capable frigate BRP Antonio Luna (FF151) led the training, accompanied by the Del Pilar-class patrol vessels BRP Ramon Alcaraz (PS16) and BRP Andres Bonifacio (PS17).
Officers and crew members of the three ships carried out routine surface operations to further develop their skills in utilizing advanced systems on modern warships. These activities support the Philippine Navy’s mission of maintaining combat readiness.
According to the Navy, regular drills are essential to ensure preparedness and the ability to work cohesively in fulfilling their mandate to protect the country’s waters and defend its territorial integrity.
